Meet Manfred Hettithanthri, our Technical Team Lead on the Service Desk in our Colombo office. Manfred oversees the Corporate team and usually steps up to run the Service Desk when needed. On a regular day, Manfred can be found assisting with complex issues, monitoring case escalations, mentoring and coaching team members on their career paths, carrying out weekly team meetings and analysing team performance. Before joining MOQdigital in 2014, Manfred was a Manager of Programmes and Operations with another IT company. This role was mainly operations-focused which provided him with comprehensive understanding of operations and people management skills.
Manfred is an effective Technical Team Lead, he is always the first to put his hand up to work on something and he is very much a people person. “I love mentoring and coaching people with their careers” he says. He mentors and helps on events like Skill up sessions, Pic the Mic sessions and inductions to name a few. When Manfred isn’t in the office, he can usually be found travelling overseas with his family. Manfred has been to many international destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, France and Switzerland. When he’s not jet setting, he is often at home spending time with his family and shopping online for the latest tech.
Manfred says his favourite part about working at MOQdigital is being surrounded by his wonderful colleagues, as he says “there is such a vast amount of knowledge with the teams in the office”. The culture in the office is another noted favourite aspect of his. Manfred is an integral part of our team. He leads by example and we are lucky to have him as a Technical Lead on our Service Desk.
