MOQdigital is growing and we are on the lookout for an experienced Application Packaging Specialist to join our team.


About the role:

We are seeking for an individual with a strong knowledge on SCCM, to work as part of our Service Delivery team. The primary function of this role is to ensure that the companies Endpoint applications are packaged and patched to pre-agreed compliance levels along with being a secondary resource for servers and Endpoint patching compliance.

In this role your main tasks will include:

  • Application packaging with SCCM
  • Proactively monitor for new versions of software and package the same
  • Remove old version of software via SCCM
  • Produce usage reports from SCCM
  • Resolve issues where packages have failed to run/install
  • Document creation, application packaging, version control & management, system outages
  • Identifying, understanding and solutioning dependencies around application upgrades
  • Maintain thorough documentation and reporting on statuses
  • Support Server and Endpoint patching primary resource with overflow work and acting as secondary resource for same. This includes:
  • Patching, 500 Windows Servers on a monthly basis
  • Patching and Maintenance of Hyper-V, VMWare (ESXi), Nutanix Hyper Visor environments
  • Patch management of the Windows workstation fleet approx. 2000 devices – including MS Office updates
  • Testing Windows workstation updates against the SOE
  • Commvault backup management (Monitoring and failure remediation)


What we believe you will need to succeed:

  • Relevant industry qualifications or tertiary degree
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience working with the relevant technologies
  • Strong Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager skills in relation to Application Packaging
  • Strong Microsoft Active Directory skills
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of change management processes
  • Ability to drive changes
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL v3 Framework
  • Familiarity of Project Management methodologies
  • Application awareness in:
  • Digest of application documentation
  • Awareness of application packaging and deployment
  • Patching technique and version control
  • App testing including UAT
  • Technical skills in Flexera and PowerShell scripting will be desirable
